Bison Quest In The Press
ABC's 20/20
What is it with film crews that they have to come in the snowstorms!? We had to pick up Jeff Diamond, producer from ABC’s 20/20, and his camera crew, Mark and Heidi, on snowmobiles to get them up here so they could film us and the bison herd! As Jeff later told us, "Coming up to your place (Wild Echo Bison Reserve) isn't going to be a trip that we'll forget. We're still talking about it!"

Eco-Travel Documentary Filmed by
Big Ideas for a Small Planet with the Sundance Channel

We were so excited and flattered to find that one of our favorite television channels wanted to do a documentary including Bison Quest here at Wild Echo Bison Reserve! As luck would have it, the film crew from "Big Ideas for a Small Planet" with the Sundance Channel arrived the same day as our first major snowstorm of the year.

But the "buffs" were happy to see us anyway!

Travel Writer, Wanda Markland and her daughter, Autumn, met the herd while here writing an article featuring Bison Quest for the book "Treasures of America-Mountain West" published by Morgan and Chase.

Listed on MSNBC and Forbes Traveler as one the top 16 of "America's Greenest Hotels for 2008":
The ranch was founded by wildlife biologist Pamela Knowles after she realized how disconnected most people are from the natural world. You'll have your choice of tipi or log cabin on this private bison reserve. Since they only allow one group at a time on the ranch, you will have a customized western adventure with spa and organic bison stew options to boot. Completely wind and solar powered, there's even a compost bin for organic waste (kept out of camp "because of potential bear problems").
